Facilities

The UC Merced campus has experienced many changes within the time since the universty was founded, including the expansion of arts facilities and the increase in spaces and classrooms devoted to artistic practices. This page serves as an overview to the arts facilities located on campus.

Arts and Computational Sciences Building:

The Arts and Computational Sciences building (ACS) is one of the more recent additions to the UC Merced campus. A section of ACS caters to the arts; there is a recording studio, a film screening room, a dance studio, and more!

Social Sciences and Management Building:

The Social Sciences and Management building (SSM) houses some of the original art facilities on the UC Merced Campus. This building includes room SSM 125, which has historically been used for studio classes such as painting, drawing, sculpture, and mixed media! SSM also has rooms for musicians to practice their instruments within insulated spaces. SSM houses the UC Merced Art Gallery which is ran by faculty with the assistance of student interns, and often exhibits student and community art.
